2009 Annual S. Norena Quilty Memorial Golf Tournament

The 2009 Annual S. Norena Quilty Memorial Golf Tournament took place on Thursday, October 8th at the Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland. And what a tournament it was!

Our largest group ever - 89 members of the MSJA Community - began the day with a hearty lunch, loaded up on goodie bags and headed out in their carts under clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. Mount spirit was evident everywhere on the course! All our golfers were so enthusiastic and happy to be playing “fore” the girls!

After golfing, players returned to the club house for drinks and appetizers while perusing the silent auction items. Next players were joined by spouses and other friends of the Mount for a fabulous dinner followed by an exciting live auction.

Erin Lynch ’94 deserves special recognition for the success of this tournament. Erin enlisted her staff at Celebrity Marketing of Andover to provide gift bags, register players, take photos and perform all kinds of other tasks that made for this most successful tournament. Sincere thanks also to our principal Kathleen Fraser ’67, Gretchen Friend, and other members of the golf committee: Trustees Linda Gorham ’69 and Kate Mooney Cahill ’69, Roseann Amico, CSJ ’57 and Arleen Smith Frechette ’79 for their hard work and assistance.
