Today at MSJA . . .
Today, the school community gathered in the gym for the annual Class Day celebration. In a pre-graduation ceremony, Ms. Fraser and Mrs. Smith called each of the seniors up to the stage to be honored and then presented the entire graduating class to the assembled students, faculty and staff. The seniors received a standing ovation. After the Class of 2012 processed out of the gym, the younger students enacted a favorite Mount tradition. To the infectious beat of Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," the rising seniors, rising juniors and rising sophomores took turns joining hands and weaving their way through the rows of chairs, symbolically moving up to their new seats for future assemblies.
