Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Mount Saint Joseph Academy. Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, Mount Saint Joseph Academy promotes academic excellence, cultivates respect for all people, fosters unity and reconciliation, and educates young women for compassionate leadership and service. This is the legacy of Mount Saint Joseph Academy.

As a private Catholic high school for young women, established in 1885, Mount Saint Joseph Academy offers a rigorous college preparatory program, including numerous Honors Level and Advanced Placement courses, along with online classes through the Virtual High School. Our academic program is complemented by extensive extra-curricular offerings in athletics and the performing arts. Perhaps our most notable characteristic is that we are a vibrant learning community committed “to cultivating the intellect and making a special training of the heart.”

We invite you to explore our website for all the information you need to begin the application process. All candidates must submit an application and take the High School Placement Test. We encourage prospective students to participate in our Mountie for a Day program.

Please feel free to contact the Admissions Office by phone or send an inquiry via email. We look forward to hearing from you.  You may also visit us in person by attending one of our Welcome Wednesday mini open houses.  Parents, middle  and elementary school teachers and principals are welcome to attend in order to experience first-hand everything the Mount has to offer.

Once again, I thank you for your interest in Mount Saint Joseph Academy, and I encourage you to "Choose the Mount."

 Testimonials

"Becoming a part of the Mount is one of the best blessings I have ever received.  The life lessons I have learned will remain with me for the rest of my life."

Advice to the Class of 2014

Join clubs, have fun and make sure you do all your homework. Go to events like the Halloween Social and things like that because they are really fun and you have a great time. The first day might be the hardest day but after it is done you will feel relieved. This is your home so treat it with respect and have fun. I am sure you will.
