On Monday, February 6, 2012, students from Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Trinity Catholic gathered at Boston College for a community building event. One of the tasks accomplished during the day was to choose the official mascot for Saint Joseph Preparatory High School. The students voted for one of three choices: the Pride of Lions, the Saints or the Phoenix. When the votes were tallied, the Phoenix emerged victorious.
